Brown your brisket with a bit of olive oil in a casserole dish. You can sear the meat in a skillet or pan and transfer after. Add some carrots, celery, a whole bulb or garlic, cloves, peppercorns, and ground nutmeg. Low and slow in the oven for about 3 to 4 hours, and you're set to go. Simple and satisfying.
